Words And Phrases Used By Pilots In The Aviation Industry
Pilots do a lot more than just pilot a plane; they are experts in communicating with an efficient manner. There are pilot terms to help pilots convey what they see or hear more quickly than using regular English terms. If you ever hope to become a pilot one day, such terms will have to be learned and used correctly.
There are several terms that only relate to wind alone. A microburst is an example of a strong localized wind, in which can cause damage to the airplane if ignored and no action is taken. A crosswind is a wind that is blowing perpendicular to the path of the airplane- which can result in air turbulence or easily push the airplane off course if proper action is not taken.
When you are driving to a new place, perhaps on a vacation, you will look for landmarks to find your way around. These are primarily used when giving one’s current location to an air traffic controller or another entity that is monitoring the course of jet in question.

The airspeed is a given- it’s simply the speed of the aircraft in relation to the air mass surrounding it. The true airspeed is the same as airspeed, only the force of wind resistance is taken out of the equation.
If there seems to be an emergency, whether on board or in the near future, a pilot needs to know how to call it to the proper authorities. Mayday is a well known term thanks to Hollywood, which simply means that there is grave danger either currently or in the future for the health of the aircraft. It is repeated three times to avoid confusion. Pan-pan is another term that is best used when there is an emergency, but there is no current danger to life.
You should identify the major types of groups that use a jet charter service and provide services based on their needs. A sports charter will probably have a lot more individuals than a private charter for a family. As such, you will probably need a larger jet charter, which means you will need experience in flying a larger jet and accommodating needs accordingly.
